The Life of Godliness
And the Means of Grace
Godliness is the calling of every believer, but what does that look like and how do we get there? Spiritual disciplines, or "the means of grace," are vital to spiritual transformation.
Guest Speaker
Tracey Taylor
Tracey is well known and loved by the women at Faith Church. She is the wife of New Hope OPC’s Pastor, Claude Taylor. Tracey and Claude began their 21 years of serving in South Jersey here at Faith OPC. Claude first serving as our year long intern, and then as our associate pastor until he was called to serve as Pastor of our sister church in Bridgeton.
Tracey grew up in east central Mississippi, where she was taught to respect the Bible as God's word and to seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but It wasn't until her college days at Ole Miss that she was awakened for the first time to the Gospel--through the witness and godliness of several students connected with Reformed University Fellowship, the campus ministry of the PCA. After college, the Lord blessed her with a master's degree at the University of Florida, a high school teaching position in Pippa Passes, KY, and a wonderful year of study at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. It was at Westminster that Tracey met Claude and found her settled calling in being the wife of an OPC pastor. They have two great kids--Mary, 18, and Jasper, 16--who might not be here if not for the persistent prayers of the Faith Church saints.
We are thankful for Tracey, and the wisdom the Lord has given her and also for her willingness to share with us what He has taught her in the area of “The Life of Godliness and the Means of Grace”.
